PERSONAL TRAINER IN WALES - GLYNNEATH LEISURE CENTRE

I regularly use Glynneath Leisure Centre as the central location for many training sessions, nestling at the top of the Vale of Neath it has almost everything a triathlete or cyclist needs and is easily accessible from the M4 and A465.

is situated 200 mts from one of the fastest 25 mile cycling time trial courses in the UK.
has quiet roads for cycling on it's doorstep with measured 10 & 15 mile time trial courses less than 1 mile away.
is less than a minute away from good off road mountain bike riding with access to the trails of the Afan Forest.
has a 1500 foot road climb less than a mile away.
is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park which is ideal for long scenic & testing rides.
is approximately one mile from an open water swimming lake.
has a 4 lane 25 metre swimming pool, while it is not the best pool for training in, it is adequate for stroke analysis and medium length sessions.
has a canal towpath nearby ideal for relaxed running
has an off road tarmac path nearby ideal for running speed work and tempo sessions.

From M4 west - leave at junction 43 (Llandarcy) follow A465 for approx 15 miles, at the McDonald's roundabout in Glynneath turn left, take first right and Glynneath (Vale of Neath) Leisure Centre is directly in front of you.

From M4 east - Leave M4 at junction 32 (Coryton, Cardiff) – head north, follow signs for Pontypridd & Merthyr A470 (Travel along A470 north for approx 20 miles), At the 5^th roundabout (just north of Merthyr) turn left and take the A465 signposted Neath, follow the A465 for approx 10 miles to a McDonalds next to the roundabout in Glynneath, turn right at this roundabout, take first right and the Glynneath (Vale of Neath) Leisure Centre is directly in front of you.

From east Wales - follow A465 signposted Neath, when you reach Glynneath continue along the A465 until you reach a McDonalds next to the roundabout, turn right at this roundabout, take first right and Glynneath (Vale of Neath) Leisure Centre is directly in front of you.
